Without your help...

Girls would have to stop their schooling at age 14 and possibly be forced to marry.

Boys may have to turn to begging or even the poaching of wildlife to earn money.

With your help, OUR GOAL...

is to see that each child in this class of 93 primary school graduates can attend either Secondary School for further education or a Trade School to learn a skill and be lifted out of poverty.

EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE!

93 Faces, 93 Stories, 93 Opportunities to change their world!

One child at a time!

JOIN ‘THE 93 CLUB’!

We are asking you to join ‘The 93 Club’ by donating $80 a month (or $1,000) for the benefit of the 93 children in need — BY APRIL 30!  This sacrifice provides an OPPORTUNITY to change and secure a Kenyan child’s future for a lifetime. To date, we have raised $90,000 of the $93,000 Goal!

Not every child is academically inclined.  Not every child will benefit from attending secondary school, but every child deserves a chance to excel at what they do best!

Perhaps they are mechanically minded.  Perhaps artistic or musical.  Or, talented in other ways and a trade school is the answer.

When a child writes of her life with 3 siblings and a single mother who is a “Casual laborer” that, “We run out of food by the weekend and have to beg from our neighbors”, you have to help. The 93 stories we have read from Class 8 (and the hundreds of others before this year) teach us that EVERY CHILD NEEDS OUR HELP!  They have the desire to learn, the faith that they will succeed; they only need our love, support and the OPPORTUNITY to see that happen.

100% of the funds will be dedicated to these wonderful girls and boys, to see that they either begin secondary school (full sponsorships available) or achieve a skill that will provide work for them in their adult life.

EDUCATE!

For the sake of the African Wildlife…

Educate a child, save an elephant!

Visit to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage

Each and every time we visit with the children of our Primary School, Secondary and College Students, we discuss the wildlife crisis and tell them that we first visited Kenya for the wildlife, but we came back because of the children.  We drive home the fact that without the wildlife, they never would have had our assistance with their education.

To take this a step further, we have introduced them to the poaching crisis by bringing the Head Keeper of the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to the school, then taking children to the orphanage to meet the little ellies.  Seeing is believing.

It has begun… thus far, 28 students are in Secondary boarding schools, 20 are in day Secondary school while attending skill training on the weekends; two students are in trade schools — one to be a plumber and the other an auto mechanic! Happy, learning and blooming!

For the benefit of the world.

Our students are learning how to be good stewards, good citizens.  As they progress through secondary school into colleges and universities, they are showing the desire to “Give Back”.  During their breaks, they come together (Pandemic excepted) at the Primary School and work at making improvements to the campus.  A couple of students shop and cook lunch for the ones who are painting, refinishing cement floors, gardening, etc.  They love being able to show their appreciation in this way.  And, some have expressed the desire to be a part of ‘BLOOM’ and take on sponsorships themselves as they enter the working world.  They are BLOOMING and we are so very proud of them!

They can’t do it without you. and neither can we!
